The use of sole pass to the weak side of defense is one of the most important tactical solution to escape from pressing. 

When an attacker with ball is pressed, there can be a movement of team mate of screen or a movement towards parallel, and immediate turning towards the line of the ball, in this moment will happen the sole pass. 

The defense can answer with a jump changing the mark (the defender of attacker with ball goes to defense the attacker who receive the sole pass) and can continue to follow own opponent for an individual marking. 

1st case is important that the attacker pass back the ball at 1 touch before the pass line will be closed, to create a numerical superiority or attack the change of the mark driving the ball.

In the second case, if the defense follows, there cab situation like one-two or parallel if defense is pressing, or play to pivot in other side if defense float.
